Mohamed Ridza & Co. was established in June 2005. The Firm currently comprises 4 partners who are assisted by lawyers and staff in a total strength of 15 people.

The Firm has been involved in some of Malaysia’s largest and most complicated corporate and financing transactions and it enjoys a very close working relationship with many large financial institutions (both local and international) and public listed companies as well as multinational corporations.

Banking & Finance and Capital Markets

Our lawyers have been involved in both Islamic and conventional banking and finance matters at both domestic and international levels and has one of the largest Islamic finance team in the country. Among our accomplishments are legal consultancy services for:

» Drafting and advising the parties on the Bai’ Inah Facility     Agreement between Bank Pembangunan Dan Infrastruktur     Malaysia Berhad (BPIMB) and the Government of Malaysia,     represented by the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

» Drafting and advising Brunei LNG with respect to a proposed     BND100 million Sukuk Al Ijarah facility in Brunei     Darussalam.

» Drafting and advising BumiHiway Sdn Bhd on their     conventional bond issuance.

» Drafting and advising Metro Ikram (Turkey) with respect to a     proposed USD600 million Sukuk Al Ijarah Wa Intifa’ facility     for the financing of the construction of 100,000 homes in     Turkey.
